Canadian E-Learning Conference June 17-20 2008

We have just finalized the addition of three sessions of tours of one of the CAVE facilities at the University of Calgary to the conference program. New to the program will be a showcase of the top two winners of the EXTREME Virtual Reality (EXVR) Science Fair that is sponsored by MIRARCO.  We will have the opportunity after dinner on Wednesday evening to view presentations of these two projects and ask questions of the students that created them.  Go to http://conference.adeta.org/EXVR for more details.

And the hands-on workshops are starting to fill up so you if you want to get a seat in one of the workshops, register early. There are not additional costs to participating in these workshops.

The program is looking very good and we are very excited about some of the great presentations that are scheduled and related discussions that will take place both live at the presentation and on this website before and after the presentation.

We have finalized the hands-on workshops. We have finalized the Wimba workshop and added to more so there will be a total of 9 workshops.  All nine are now on the online registration form. The workshops and presentations are looking very interesting. We may be adding a few more but most of them are confirmed.

U of C Conference Housing

The University of Calgary Conference Housing facilities offer a variety of room styles to meet your needs. While staying with Conference Housing, guests enjoy on-campus amenities, such as laundry facilities, food services, parking, gift shops, conference & meeting rooms, and Campus Recreation, which includes the following facilities: Aquatics Centre, Outdoor Centre, Fitness Centre, Olympic Oval, Racquet Courts, Climbing wall and much more.

The Graduate Divison of Educational Research at the University of Calgary is offering a graduate level credit quarter course in conjunction with this conference.   Students enrolled in the course will participate in the conference and base their assignments on presentations and discussions at the conference.  Students will fully participate in the conference but at no additional costs over an above the normal course tuition fees.
